A Day of Firsts.

Life in the city is really beginning to pick up! Before, I'd have days at a time that I wouldn't even leave the house, but this week alone, I'm having trouble trying to pencil in important things (like going to traffic court {ashamed face}) I'm starting to meet new people, check out new places, find additional jobs and discover new things to do in the city! Saturday, after the pillow fight, I decided to go out with my cousin's friends, without my cousin. It was a great way to meet more people and have fun without having Malikkah there as a buffer! We went to this Mexican restaurant called Blockheads and had some of the best margaritas I've had in my life! Afterwards, we ventured down the block and ran into this great 3-story bar and danced the night away!!

Not only was Monday a beautiful day, but I got to spend some time with my friend Darnell Walker, the mastermind that provides all of my pieces that helped jumpstart my editing career. We met in the Village after an interview and I had Pinkberry for the first time. DELISH!! I had the original flavored frozen yogurt with raspberries, blueberries, kiwi and mango. I can't remember the last time I had kiwi, so I was so psyched when I found out you could put them on your frozen yogurt!
After Pinkberry, Darnell, his friend Andre and I walked for what seemed like miles to different parts of Manhattan including Soho, visited his friend at work, then stopped in a nearby restaurant for some Happy Hour margaritas. Later that night, Darnell gathered about 10 of his friends for dinner in the Meatpacking District. Such a great way to network and meet new people in the New York area!
